How We’re Keeping Our Customers Safe From COVID-19

At The Lighthouse, we observe all the food industry hygiene standards and the food storage principles. We carefully respect the 4Cs of food safety: Cleaning, Cooking, Chilling and Cross-contamination. So far, no staff member has been exposed to any person tested positive for Coronavirus. We have implemented stringent protocols and are taking all necessary steps to ensure cleaning, food safety, and delivery safety standards set forth by the CDC are followed diligently, including:

  • Frequent hand washing is enforced before, during and after employee shifts

  • Gloves are worn at all times during preparation and delivery

  • All staff are required to wear mouth and nose covering during preparation and delivery

  • All surfaces are cleaned and sanitized hourly (at minimum) and after each use

  • All boxes are cleaned with sanitized wipes before leaving the kitchen

  • All boxes are re-cleaned at delivery site

  • We practice “no contact” or minimum exposure delivery, meaning boxes will be left at the front door

  • Drivers are asked to keep a minimum of 8 FT away from customers answering the door

  • We accept online payments, so physical bills or cards aren’t exchanged between customers and the delivery staff

  • After your delivery, we recommend wiping off the boxes once more

We are practicing extreme caution and continuing to monitor developments coming out of the state and federal governments. Our approach will adapt as necessary as the situation evolves.
